Organizational Timeline1993 - St. Paul’s School launches "The Coldstream Project" (now Bridges) as a summer program for 18 elementary school-aged students at Coldstream Park Elementary in east Baltimore.
2004 - Bridges completes summer expansion, becoming six-summer program spanning end of grade 3 to beginning of grade 9; graduates 11 students into high school.
2005 - Bridges hires first full-time Director to manage existing operations, expand supports for students and parents, build service opportunities for St. Paul’s students, and raise funds.
2005 - Bridges expands supports for students and families:
- Initiatives for elementary and middle school: after school tutoring, personal development program, middle and high school guidance support
- Initiatives for high school: paid summer jobs, school year tutoring, school year social support, personal development program, high school outplacement and scholarships
- Expanded service opportunities for people inside and outside of the St. Paul’s School community
- High school Students from the St. Paul’s Schools: 90+ annual service opportunities - Summer Counselors (35), Fall Tutors (6), Winter Tutors (25-30), Spring Tutors (25-30)
- Adults: 35+ mentors in the personal development program; 12+ Advisory Board members
- Increased full-year staffing to support growth, including
2014 - Full-time elementary/middle school program director and an additional Public Service Fellow
- Developed Advisory Board and Community Support
- Bridges at Gilman opened in the summer of 2014
