Supporters and Partners
Bridges receives no programmatic funding from federal sources or public agencies. For the past four years, Bridges has received summer meal reimbursements from the Department of Education’s Summer Food Service Program.
Bridges receives programmatic funding from private foundations, corporations, individuals, St. Paul’s School, and Gilman School. St. Paul’s School and Gilman School also provide in-kind support for Bridges. St. Paul’s School for Girls provides in-kind support as well.

Cal Ripken Senior Foundation: Provides 6 scholarships to a week-long sleep-away camp and an afternoon sporting activity for 100+ students at the Bridges Summer Institute
Capital Educators: Provides in-kind SAT prep to 40 high school students during the summer
DLA Piper: Provides in-kind legal counsel on expansion plans
Junior League of Baltimore: Provides in-kind use of their City office three afternoons a week and as needed on the weekends
Loyola University: Loyola’s Center for Social Justice facilitated a tutoring partnership with Professor Lisa Zimmerelli, Director of Loyola University's Writing Center; Tutors from the Writing Center provide weekly one-on-one tutoring to Bridges high school students.
Miller’s Deli: Miller’s Deli provides 300+ in-kind deli sandwiches per year for Bridges Personal Development trips.
Sagamore Farm: Provides field trips, job shadows, and incentives for students; The Farm also recently named a horse for Bridges (Native Crossing)
Toss Pizza: Toss provides discounted pizza for weekly tutoring at Loyola University and for other area-activities.
University of Maryland School of Social Work: Bridges has a social work intern supporting the high school and college program.
Washington & Lee University: Bridges receives a summer intern from the Shepherd Program at Washington & Lee University. The intern gives eight weeks to help with Bridges’ Summer Institute and Summer Jobs Programs. (New ‘13-‘14)
