Post-High School Program
After high school, Bridges helps students and their families transition to higher education, fully understand the value proposition of a post-secondary degree, and graduate with strong opportunities.
Each year, Bridges is able to provide 10 students with a recurring higher education scholarship. Students use their scholarships to pay for books, travel expenses to come home for breaks, or for their living expenses while at school.
Graduating high school seniors who have been selected for Bridges college scholarship pose with their families, Bridges staff, and the scholarship providers.
College Guidance & Support
Bridges staff provide college students with one-on-one support which focuses on getting students to the end of college with a well-rounded resume of academic success, extra-curricular activities, and professional experiences. Support centers around topics like choosing a major, building a network, and landing internships as well as personal challenges like staying up to date on financial paperwork (FAFSA), managing mental health challenges, and handling bills and part-time jobs.
Career Guidance & Support
For students who choose not to attend college after high school, Bridges continues to support their success by assisting with trade school applications, joining the military, or providing career guidance. Bridges is committed to helping every student plan their future and overcome obstacles along the way.
Bridges college support staff also provide career guidance for students attending college by supplementing the career services provided by their schools in resume & cover letter preparation, interview practice, and in finding internships, fellowships, and career opportunities.
